Alexa is completing her final year at The University of Texas at Arlington, where she is pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW) with a concentration in Mental Health and Substance Misuse, as well as a Master of Special Education. As a clinical social work intern at Pivot’s Potential LLC, Alexa is passionate about creating a safe, supportive environment where individuals can process challenges and begin their journey toward healing and growth.
Before beginning her graduate studies, Alexa earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a certificate in Child Development. She began her career at an autism clinic providing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy for children, later serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) before transitioning fully into child welfare work. These experiences deepened her commitment to advocacy, trauma-informed care, and supporting individuals and families through difficult transitions.
