Pivots Potential Team

Elizabeth Sullentrop LMSW and DBT Practitioner at Pivots Potential: specializing in couples therapy and relationship support.

Elizabeth Suellentrop, LMSW

My name is Elizabeth, and I provide therapy services via telehealth in the states of Virginia and Maryland. I’m trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), an evidence-based therapeutic approach that empowers individuals to effectively manage their emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, and enhance overall well-being. With my expertise in DBT, I offer a unique opportunity for us to set meaningful goals together and work collaboratively on them, utilizing a range of specialized skills to achieve those goals.

I have also received comprehensive training in trauma-informed care, including Eye Movement Integration (EMI) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I understand the profound impact that traumatic experiences can have on an individual’s life. My compassionate and empathetic approach fosters a safe space where clients can explore and heal from past traumas, developing resilience and coping strategies to navigate future challenges.

My ideal client is motivated and enthusiastic about learning and applying the skills we learn about in their daily life. By incorporating these skills into your everyday experiences, you’ll gain the tools necessary to overcome emotional distress and cultivate a greater sense of self-awareness, self-acceptance, and personal growth.

I invite individuals who are struggling with emotional distress, seeking to improve emotional regulation, desiring to practice mindfulness, and wishing to develop stronger interpersonal and distress tolerance skills to contact me. As your clinician, I will provide a caring, kind, and, most importantly, non-judgmental environment, fostering a therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and genuine support.
