MSW Intern

Lilly Weaver

I’m currently a Master of Social Work student at the University of Texas at Arlington and an intern at Pivot’s Potential. I am committed to creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard and empowered in their healing journey.

I am currently completing my Master of Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington, with a focus on grief and loss, coping strategies for stress and anxiety, and trauma-informed care. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology from California State University Channel Islands, where my work emphasized advocating for individuals with special needs and providing case management support.

My clinical areas of interest include working with individuals navigating childhood trauma, grief and loss, women’s issues, and family conflict. I am also passionate about supporting those experiencing anxiety, depression, and other challenges we all face at times. I provide services in both English and Spanish, and my goal is to create a safe and supportive environment for all individuals.

My therapeutic approach is based on person-centered and strengths-based perspective by helping individuals become a better version of themselves. I also like a holistic approach that can overall support individual’s mind and body reconnecting one-self. By having a healthy mind and body anything can be accomplished. I believe that when clients feel safe, supported, and aligned with themselves, positive changes can be made.

I was drawn to this work since I have seen the importance of ensuring individuals receive the support they need. Often, just a bit of guidance and encouragement can help someone make meaningful, positive changes in their lives.

In my free time, I love going to concerts, the beach, and baking sourdough loafs!
