MSW Intern
Lily Weaver
I am a Master of Social Work student at the University of Texas at Arlington and an intern at Pivot’s Potential. I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered in their healing journey.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology from California State University Channel Islands, where I focused on advocating for individuals with special needs and providing case management support. Currently, my graduate work emphasizes grief and loss, coping strategies for stress and anxiety, and trauma-informed care.
My clinical areas of interest include supporting individuals navigating childhood trauma, grief and loss, women’s issues, and family conflict. I am also passionate about working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and other common life challenges. I provide services in both English and Spanish, and my goal is to meet each client where they are with compassion and respect.
My therapeutic approach is person-centered and strengths-based, helping individuals recognize their resilience and become the best version of themselves. I also integrate a holistic perspective, focusing on the connection between mind and body to support overall well-being. I believe that when clients feel safe, supported, and aligned with themselves, meaningful and lasting change is possible.
I was drawn to this work after seeing firsthand the importance of accessible support. Often, just a bit of guidance and encouragement can open the door to positive transformation.
Outside of my work, I enjoy going to concerts, spending time at the beach, and baking sourdough loaves.
